Gifting the Brand

George Fergus, Goldman Productions

The promotional products industry is an evolving one. Take for example the "green" movement. Just a few years ago, this part of the industry did not exist. But today, everyone has gone green crazy. All type of products abound that are made from recycled materials. Even shirts are now made from recycled water bottles! This industry has grown from one focused on cheap give-a-ways and gadgets to today where it enthusiastically embraces the latest trend, like the "green" movement. All these latest trends and many well known product names are available for you in this industry.

If you are not using your logo to co-brand with these new and existing brands and trends, you are missing out on the opportunity to improve and upgrade the way clients and workers view your company. With products available today like Tommy Hilfiger, Greg Norman, Victorinox, Old Navy, Bic and other well known brands you can put your logo right beside theirs and give your company instant credibility. One of my favorite client gifts is a nice golf shirt with a client's logo embroidered tone on tone on the sleeve! It is tastefully done and says, "I care enough about you to give you this gift." Believe me, they will be impressed.

The promotional products industry has many other manufacturers who constantly come up with new products that are helpful to the consumer. When your company hands out a new innovative product to a potential client, it says to them that you are up to date with that clients needs and you are there to serve them. What I like best is many of these items stay right in front of the client on their desk or in their work space. They see your logo everyday! Everyday! Think of that. You wish for more sales and for contacts to become clients? A good appropriate co-branded product with your name and logo on it can get them to call you when they need help. It happens every day in business in America. It should be happening to you.

I recommend that you deal with a professional in this industry who is up with the trends for your business niche. He should be able to recommend a number of ideas and make suggestions how these ideas best work with your marketing direction. It doesn't cost you anything to explore the possibility and you might improve your prospect/client relationships and make more sales! Good luck.
